José Manuel Barroso is Portuguese professor and politician born on 23rd March 1956. Currently he is serving as non-executive chairman Goldman Sachs International. Previously he served as 115th Prime Minister of Portugal and 11th President of the European Commission.
José Manuel Barroso graduated in law from University of Lisbon. He received degree of MA with honours in Social Science and Political Science from University of Geneva, Switzerland. He subsequently received diploma in European Studies from European University Institute. With his academic career, he also continue to serve as Assistant Professor in Faculty of Law in University of Lisbon. Later in Lisbon, he became the director of the Department for International Relations Lusíada University.
