It is one of the most important indicators released during the last week of each month usually at 9:30 AM (GMT) by Konjunkturforschungsstelle Swiss Institute for Business Cycle Research. It is a joint survey which measures future trends of overall economic activity. It captures the movement of economic trend and GDP growth in Switzerland. The KoF Leading Indicators Switzerland fell by 63.5% in April 2020 that is the lowest reading since March 2009. Almost all sectors of the economy are heavily impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic including food service activities, manufacturing sector, accommodation, foreign demand, consumption for insurance and financial service providers and constructions.
The pessimistic view is considered as bearish for CHF while optimistic view is taken as bullish/positive for CHF traders.
