What is Guyana-Dollars in Forex Trading?

Guyana-Dollars is currency of Guyana since January 29, 1983 with code GYD. In late 19th century, private bank notes of dollar 5, 10 and 100 were issued by Colonial Bank and British Guiana Bank. The British Guiana Bank introduced notes until 1907 and Colonial Bank until 1917. The Colonial Bank was taken over by Barclays Bank which issued banknotes of 5, 10, 20 and 100 dollar between 1926 and 1941.

Recently banknotes of $20, $50, $100, $500, $1000, $5000 and coins of $1, $5, $10 issued by Central Bank of Guyana are under circulation in Guyana economy.
